Ash Anderson, Intern
Hi! My name is Ash (I also go by Ashley) and I use all pronouns. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Washington University, and I completed my clinical internship right here at Dragonfly Counseling! Before deciding to become a counselor, I moved from Western Washington to Pullman to pursue Bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from Washington State University (go Cougs!) and I couldn't help but fall in love with the Palouse and make it my home!
I utilize a blend of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I love to nerd out about my modalities and therapeutic process as I work collaboratively and creatively with my clients to achieve their goals! Counseling is a space where people can learn more about themselves, their values, who they want to be, and how they can work to get there one step at a time. I help clients of all ages navigate anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, low self-esteem, identity development, and religious trauma. I am particularly passionate about working with the transgender and queer community, of which I am a proud member.
In my free time, I enjoy playing with my cats Pepperjack, Mozzarella, Pudding, and Bean, laughing with my friends, baking, singing, and playing video games like the Sims and Stardew Valley.
